Urgent!!! Charming, A2209039, is scheduled to be euthanized because he is so scared ion 8/28 but must be saved by 8/27!!! Charming has been observed to have a high FAS level in the Shelter environment. Continued high levels of FAS can be deleterious to the pet's physiological and emotional well-being. Pets with elevated FAS that cannot be reduced will need to leave the Shelter for a more suitable home as soon as possible. Charming is a 3-year-old black neutered German Shepherd mix who came in as a stray to the West Valley Animal Shelter on July 13, 2025. Sadly, no one ever came for him, and now he has been placed on the euthanasia list with an end date of August 28, 2025 (last day to commit is August 27, 2025). The shelter environment has been extremely hard on Charming. He is declining rapidly, showing high stress behaviors such as spinning in his kennel, high jumping, barking,. Life in the kennel is overwhelming for him, and he urgently needs rescue, foster, or adoption to have a chance at recovery.
