Ruby is a sweet, 11-year-old miniature dachshund looking for her perfect forever home. She was surrendered to rescue along with her 'brother,' Murray, however, they are not bonded. Ruby is a perfectly healthy little girl, although she does have limited vision, so care will need to be taken to ensure she doesn't injure herself. For instance, if up on the couch or bed, she has not depth perception, so she could easily walk off the edge. Ruby does not let her impaired vision stop her! She is a happy girl who likes nothing better than to lounge next to her favorite human - or better yet, curl up in their lap! Her ideal hope would be with a retired person/couple or someone who works from home, as she is a bit of a Velcro dog and is happiest when her humans are near her. Ruby is spayed and current on her rabies vaccination. Given her age, her former owner's vet advised against further vaccinations, so this is something that her adopter may discuss with their vet She is being fostered in Pen Argyl, PA and is available for an adoption fee of $300.00.
