Zora is a wonderful and loyal dog who I began fostering in the spring. We quickly developed a strong bond, and I've seen what a sweet and devoted companion she can be. She can be timid and anxious when meeting new people, and sometimes her nervousness shows up as light nipping - a common trait in herding breeds. Because of this, Zora would do best with someone who understands herding behaviors and can give her patient, consistent training. She's very protective of her home, which has made it harder for her to adjust as new housemates move in, so I'm hoping to find her a stable, forever home where she can truly thrive. Zora is active and adventurous - she loves long walks, hiking, trips to the beach, and playing at the dog park. She gets along well with most dogs and would be a great match for someone with an active lifestyle who can give her the time, kindness, and structure she needs to feel secure. In the right home, Zora will be endlessly loyal and loving to her person. If you're looking for a devoted companion and are willing to help her continue building confidence, she could be the perfect fit.
