Meet Prince - Looking for a Quiet, Loving Retirement Home %BD%9D%A4%BD%BD%8F Prince is a sweet senior boy who will be 14 years old this October. He has been with our family his entire life, so this is an incredibly difficult decision. We are looking for a special person or family who can give him the love, patience, and care he deserves during his golden years. Prince is a Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He still enjoys carrying around his favorite toys, playing in short bursts, and then settling in for cuddles. His favorite things are being close to his people, cozy naps, and, of course%BD'%BD|food! Treats are definitely the fastest way to become his friend. Because Prince has only ever known our family, he will likely be shy and timid when meeting someone new. He'll need a little time to adjust, but with patience, gentle affection, and plenty of reassurance, we believe he'll form a strong bond with his new person. Prince has arthritis and will need a senior veterinary workup to assess any additional age-related needs. He is current on his rabies vaccination, but we're looking for someone who is prepared to provide the veterinary care that a senior dog deserves. We feel Prince would do best in a calm, quiet home with adults or seniors rather than young children. At this stage in his life, he doesn't enjoy a lot of commotion or constant stimulation. He also prefers smooth, level walking surfaces, as uneven ground, sticks, pine cones, and wooded terrain are becoming more difficult for him to navigate comfortably. This isn't about giving up on him-it's about giving him the quality of life we can no longer provide. We love him deeply and want his next chapter to be filled with comfort, companionship, and someone who has the time to spoil him with cuddles, soft beds, good meals, and gentle walks. If you have room in your heart and home for a loving senior companion, Prince just might be the perfect little friend you've been looking for.
