About Evan

Hi, my name is Evan and I am approximately 6 years old and at best guess a Border Collie/Aussie mix. I don't remember much about my earlier days, which is a good thing for me! I was dumped and left on a bridge over a very busy turnpike in Oklahoma. I was there for a few days. Did they not realize I was waiting & hoping my owner would come back for me? Finally, I went with a nice passerby who brought me back to her house. She and her family have been my foster family ever since. They have let me take my time to heal from my past. I am one lucky dog. I've been slow to trust people as I'm afraid they are going to leave me again. But, when I do trust them, I am a loyal loyal boy. I am good with dogs but I could do without them. I live with a few and we are all independent which works for me. I am much more interested in my bond with people. I've gotten better with that loop thing they put around my head when we go outside. I can take a walk but still a bit skittish on leash. I am very happy indoors or running around my fenced in yard. I would love my forever home to be on the quieter side as lots of activity and loud noises can make me a little nervous. I sleep well in my crate as it's become my safe place and I only go to the bathroom outside. I am pretty low maintenance when I get comfortable in my space. I promise if you give me lots of love and cuddles, I will give you lots of love back and I'll even sit in your lap! I have done well at the groomer too.
