Farrah is a smart and playful 5 year old GSD. She loves playing fetch, chasing sticks, and digging snow balls. She is still trying to master her leash manners when she gets excited on a walk and starts to pull. She's a quick learner and practice makes perfect. Farrah knows her name and comes when called, she also rocks at her basic commands and is eager to please. She is crate trained and a talker when she needs to go out or wants to play. She is an excellent companion, sweet and loving and will gladly turn on her back for a belly rub. She will be by your side whether it's in the kitchen, doing chores outside or rocking a baby to sleep. She will need mental & physical exercise. MUST KNOW: Farah was purposely starved and confined to a very small crate 18hrs a day for at least 9 months before we were able to save her. The confinement contributed to stifle issues and she just had ACL repair to her right leg. Farah will most likely need ACL repair to her left leg sooner than later, which will be the future adopter responsibility. If future adopter chooses to do the surgery at Helping Hands Veterinary Hospital in Richmond, VA the rescue will contribute $1,500 to Farah's patient account to help with the costs.
