About Mochi

Our sweet Mochi is a 5lb Toy Poodle, and such a good boy. His greatest joy is just being loved. He wants affection and snuggles, and is eager to please. He is very intelligent and highly trainable. Mochi doesn't chase balls, but likes to chase and wrestle with his companion dog, Lacey. (She is also listed on this site.) Mochi was a stud at a puppy mill for the first three years of his life. During that time, he was locked in a kennel- only let out to breed, living in his own filth, and malnourished. As a result, he has a deep fear of being kenneled or left all alone, and he never learned complete control of his bladder so he needs a diaper when indoors. He will poop outside if he has a doggy door. He can be left for periods of time if he has Lacey with him. They are a bonded pair and must go to the same home. Mochi does well with children who are gentle. He can become accustomed to other dogs if they are around the same size as him. He is protective of Lacey and food when other animals are around. He has gotten grumpy with, growled at, and born teeth at other animals and children who intruded on his space, but has never bitten. We love our little Mochi, but personal circumstances have become such that we are unable to give Mochi and Lacey the attention and care they deserve. We would like any interested parties to meet Mochi and Lacey in person and ask/answer questions to be sure it's a good fit. Thank you!
