About Koda

Hi everyone, it's me - Koda! I'm a 2-year-old Hound and Beagle mix who is fully grown at 40 lbs (though my Foster Mom says another 5-7 pounds would look good on me). I'm playful, fun, and handsome if I do say so myself - but also a pretty quiet guy who wins hearts wherever I go. I was rescued from a shelter in NC and wonderful pilots flew me up to my Foster home on Long Island. It was such a fun day and my pilots were so kind to me and said I was an awesome passenger! When I was living at the shelter, my nice caretakers thought I was so calm and kind that they made me the 'tester dog' - the one who helps meet new pups and show what kind of personalities they have. Pretty cool, right? That's because I don't judge, I just wag my tail and let others be themselves. I love everyone I meet and other dogs too. My foster mom says I'm a 10/10 and I'll be the perfect family dog. I'm healthy, up to date on my vaccines and ready to bring a whole lot of love (and maybe a few silly zoomies) into my new family's life.
