About Howie von Holzen

Howie von Holzen is a gorgeous 2 year old long haired German Shepherd mix. Very loving and happy, Howie is a sweet boy with the most beautiful coat of fluff. He has an outgoing, upbeat personality. You know those good-looking smart boys in class who weren't always paying attention because they were goofing around? Well, Howie is that boy! Fun and playful, he's always up for a good time, and he loves being petted even more than getting treats. He does know his Sit and Down commands, and is housebroken. At walk time, he starts out happily and is working on perfecting his leash skills while he stays close to his person. He even loves to run next to a bike rider. Howie will do best as an only dog, with possibly a 'ruff and rowdy' buddy for play dates. When our staff has a day off, Howie is often their choice as a hiking buddy. He is full of steam to start but settles right down a little later. Look carefully at his face, you can see his kind eyes. Just imagine him right by your side following you all over the house.
