He attends daycare to get his wiggles out with other pups. He does best with dogs that match his energy level and will run and chase them. He would be fine as the solo dog in his forever home. Good with cats? Not Tested. He has seen cats while out on walks and has not been overly interested. Walter has met a chicken and was very curious, but not aggressive. Good with kids? Walter has met children and has been good with them. Because of his playful puppy-mouthing, he might be best with older kids, 7+, or those that are accustomed to high energy dogs. Energy level: High! Walter needs plenty of activity, exercise and stimulation to be his best self. He loves walking and hiking! He is good on a leash and may pull towards dogs when they are close but is super manageable. He loves to play with his flirt pole, chew toys and plush panda. He will also sit and rest nicely on a dog bed or couch. Animal Characteristics: Walter is a happy-go-lucky, exuberant boy who is eager to please. He is a gentle soul with a heart full of life and a body full of energy! He wants to be your best friend and activity buddy and go everywhere with you. He is very smart, likes brain challenges like puzzles, and is highly trainable and ready to learn. He already knows many commands and is fully potty trained. He is crate trained, but he'd rather stay close to his people and will tell you so. He is adorably talkative and has a different noise for every emotion he feels! He can be a little mouthy due to his youth and excitable, playful nature, and is working on his best behavior. He loves riding in cars and is ready to go be your partner in life's joyful journey! Once he has expended his energy, he's a sweet snuggle bug who loves pets and belly rubs. Walter is young and needs an active adopter who is dedicated to his ongoing training and enrichment.
