When we rescued him, his little body told the story of his past. He was malnourished, unkempt, and starved for the simplest thing of all,�%A0human touch. Drew longs to be close. He melts into your arms when held and gently nudges you for�%A0belly rubs. That's his way of saying,�%A0'I've been waiting for this my whole life.'�%A0His heart blossoms with each bit of affection, and he would�%A0thrive in a home where someone is home often, ready to share cuddles and take him on short, happy outings to brighten the day. As Drew heals, his playful spark is beginning to shine through. Every day, his energy grows, and you can almost see his spirit coming back to life. When he reaches a healthy weight, Drew will be around 11 pounds, the perfect size for a lap and a warm spot beside you. Drew has already had a�%A0hernia repair during his neuter surgery, and his bloodwork looks good. We are�%A0accepting applications from serious, compassionate adopters�%A0and will conduct�%A0home visits�%A0to ensure he finds the loving environment he truly deserves. This sweet boy carries both�%A0resilience and trust�%A0in his eyes. This dog's adoption fee is $550 to go towards their vetting�%A0(vaccines, spay/neuter, heartworm/Ehrlichia/Lyme test, fecal test, pre-op blood work, dental cleaning, and microchip as well as grooming if needed). They don't live in cages or crates (unless there is a medical reason to do so.) They are treated as family pets while in our care. *�%A0All dogs in our care are fed premium brand holistic food as well as supplements and vitamins specific to each dog's needs. We don't buy inexpensive bulk dry kibble, our rescues are fed premium wet food diets as part of a comprehensive rehabilitation program to ensure maximum health. .*All of our rescues receive complete quality vetting, including full dental cleaning with pre-op bloodwork, spay/neuter, vaccines, and grooming. Dogs in need of specialized medicine will be seen by specialists, such as full cardiac workups, and ophthalmologist visits, all suspicious lumps, and bumps are biopsied, and every medical need is transparent to potential adopters. *Once you adopt from Get a Life Pet Rescue, you become part of our compassionate family and we are here for you if a problem with your precious dog arises.
