About GEMMA

GEMMA is an exquisite 2��%BD%BD-year-old, 7.8-pound Biewer Terrier who came to us as an owner surrender due to an unfortunate domestic situation. She's every bit as sweet as she is stunning, and that's saying a lot! This little heart-stealer is loving, affectionate, and a world-class snuggler. If you sit down, GEMMA is right there, curling up against you. She bonds quickly to her person and has never met a stranger. She wants everyone she meets to give her a good pet and lots of love. GEMMA gets along beautifully with other little dogs and previously lived in a home with many of them. She's just as content hanging out with her canine friends as she is showing off her speedy zoomies in the yard. For her happiest life, we'd love to see her in a home with another small, playful dog who will be her buddy in both cuddles and adventures. We haven't tested her with cats or kids, but if there are children in the home, we'd prefer they be older. Smart as she is adorable, GEMMA has already mastered the doggy door, she trots out to potty and pops right back in all by herself. If she has to go and cannot get outside, she will use a potty pad. She's not leash trained, and a fenced yard would be ideal. At night, GEMMA is happiest curled up close to her person, and during the day she's the perfect little shadow, playing when it's time to play, napping when it's time to rest, and behaving beautifully if you have to step out for errands or work. GEMMA has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, spayed, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. ��%BD��%BD��%BD��%BD Please do not submit an adoption application unless you have a young small playful fully vetted dog and live within a 6-hour drive to Pensacola FL��%BD��%BD��%BD��%BD *A Place of Hope Rescue is a foster-based rescue located in Pensacola, Florida. We do not have a physical facility for visits. To meet or adopt one of our dogs, you must first submit an adoption application for review. Please remember to check your spam folder for any communication from our team. We adopt to homes within a 1-6 hour drive to Pensacola. Puppies and dogs with pending vet appointments, and some dogs with behavioral or medical issues are only adoptable locally. We do not ship or transport our dogs.
