About Anderson

Meet Anderson! This sweet boy was saved from a kill shelter and was very scared when he first arrived. Some of that is understandable, as he was on a single-engine turboprop airplane that had to land three times to refuel! We are teaching him what love is, and we're now able to pet him and pick him up. He enjoys playing outside with several dog friends. We are confident that Anderson would do much better in a home environment and out of the shelter. He had a slight positive test for heartworm in Texas; it is easily treatable, and he is on the road to a full recovery. He was treated with ProHeart 6 and is on medication for his heart to heal. He will require a heartworm test in six months and be on a heartworm preventative for the remainder of his life. Heartworm medicine is also a general dewormer, which is beneficial in that regard. Anderson is current on his vaccines, but he is not spayed. Once he is fixed, he will be able to go home. He is two years old and weighs 20 pounds.
