More details: MAXY #A5711435 Stray came in on 07/06/25 Meet Maxy - A Shy Heart Looking for Safety and Love Temperament: Fearful at first, Gentle, and Slowly Opening Up Maxy is a sensitive boy who needs a little extra time and patience to feel safe. When first approached, he was trembling and alarm barking, but allowed leashing and handling with care. In the yard, Maxy avoided other dogs and sought comfort near his handler, using her as a safe space. Though he remained cautious, he began exploring and gently nudging the handler's hand for attention. Maxy is tolerant of other dogs but does not engage in play yet. He has a medium energy level and is looking for a calm, understanding home where he can build confidence and trust at his own pace. If you can foster or responsibly adopt, please reach out. Fostering is temporary (until adopted, mostly 3-4 month) and zero costs. Possible in CA, the PNW, NV or AZ. But we can also take fosters from Canada. Adoptions are possible anywhere in the USA to the right home with rescue support.
