Lulu needs our help! Will You Be the One Who Saves Her? Senior Lulu got her 1st notice on 8/5, 2nd notice on 8/6 and is headed to the euthanasia list She needs help urgently via adoption or foster and reputable rescue right away! The shelter is full! PLEASE don't scroll past Lulu. SHE NEEDS ALL HANDS ON DECK NOW She can be euthanized in a short time. Euthanasia listed dogs get 3 days for staff and volunteers to find solutions or to get adopted. They can get euthanized after their 3 days expired at any moment. Time is of the essence! She won't get another walk. She won't get another chance. She'll take her last breath terrified, alone, and unwanted - unless someone, anyone, says 'I choose you.' She is so close to being a memory. Please don't let the shelter be the last place she ever knows. Seniors are amazing. Let's show her that we care! You can help by sharing and networking Lulu's story and information who urgently needs a loving home or reputable rescue to be saved from euthanasia. FOSTER. ADOPT. SHARE. PLEDGE. COMMENT. SAVE. Every second counts. Every action matters. Lulu still wants to live. Please help her! More details about her: Lulu #A5714026 8yrs Female 74 lbs, German shepherd Owner Surrendered on 7/16/25due to moving to apartment Video https://youtube.com/shorts/yC07uf_ozDg Pet surrender notes: Lulu lived 100% outdoors Is partially housebroken Knows 'sit' 'shake' 'lie down' Tried to escape often Is a sweet dog and good with kids Lichenification perianal region. Calloused elbows. Lulu got up to greet the runner with a relaxed demeanor. She was avoidant of the leash dodging it and was leashed after a few attempts. She exited on her own walking with a slight pull bypassing the other dogs. In the catch pen Lulu was collared and leashed without issue. She greeted the dogs at the barrier nicely and was allowed into the play yard. Lulu displayed a relaxed body, low tail with a soft wag, open mouth pant, natural ear set, and soft eyes. She exchanged greetings nicely but became tense with playful dogs and moved away to wander and explore the yard. Lulu was social with the calmer dogs and exchanged greetings nicely. She was avoidant of the playful dogs. Lulu solicited petting from the handlers briefly then moved on. Lulu continued to wander the play yard either on her own or with another calm dog(s). If you can foster or responsibly adopt, please reach out. Fostering is temporary (until adopted, mostly 3-4 month) and zero costs. Possible in CA, the PNW, NV or AZ. But we can also take fosters from Canada. Adoptions are possible anywhere in the USA to the right home with rescue support. (Note: the shelter won't help with fosters or out of state adoptions, please reach out to the contacts below directly if you can help) If you can pledge, it helps cover his care, possible transport or vet bills and makes a rescue more confident to afford a dog. If you are a rescue and you could take in Lulu or any other of our dogs at our shelter, please let us know. We desperately need your help to save these loving dogs.
