This is Ingrid. I rescued her about 1 year ago from a shelter. She is around 3 years old. She had a rough start and has a bite history related to strangers leaning down into her space. She has not bitten anyone since October and she has never gone out of her way to attack anyone. Slow introductions are the best thing for her! I live in a suburban area, but I am moving to NY for work. I would love to bring her with me, but I'm worried she won't thrive in a constantly changing, busy, and loud environment. I plan on using dog walking apps as I work 12-hour shifts and won't be near anyone I know to take her out while I'm at work. Strangers in and out of the house might raise her anxiety levels. She currently takes Prozac and tradodone and it has helped tremendously with her anxious behaviors. She would probably do best in a calm home with other big dogs if you have any. She gets along with my other dog now, but he did have to assert dominance over her a few times when she first moved in. She tends to pull a lot when on a leash and can be very reactive when she sees bicycles. She currently has a fenced-in backyard and enjoys spending time out there. She loves to cuddle up on the couch and will follow you everywhere. Once she gets to know you she opens up and gives you endless affection. She really is such a love and a total goofball. I'm sad to be rehoming her, but I feel it is best for the both of us as I start this new journey.
