About LUNA

German Shepherd
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Luna is located in a high kill shelter in Castaic, California. Transportation information is available. Please give this beautiful girl a 2nd chance to be in a loving home that she so deserves!!! Luna is a one year old, female, black and brown, German Shepherd mix. This happy gal was surrendered to the Palmdale Care Center after her owner was evicted and left Luna behind. She has now been transferred to the Castaic Shelter. Luna is a bright and bouncy bundle of love who's ready to find her forever home! This sweet girl is full of personality and charm. She already knows basic commands like 'sit' and 'down', and she's eager to keep learning, especially if treats are involved, which she takes gently! Luna has lots of energy and would love an active home where she can play, explore, and burn off some zoomies. She's a curious explorer who loves to sniff out new adventures and chase her favorite toys. When she's not romping around, Luna loves giving hugs and being close to her people. Her affectionate nature makes her a wonderful companion. She could use a good brushing (she won't mind the spa treatment!), and then she'll be even more stunning than she already is. If you're looking for a smart, fun-loving pup with a heart full of love, Luna might be the perfect match! Once out of her kennel, Luna walked next to the runner on the way to the catch pen with no pull on her leash. She timidly entered the play yard with a low tail and low body. She appeared insecure at first as she greeted several dogs. She calmly roamed the yard for a few minutes, mostly keeping to herself. She began to relax and excitedly approached the handlers with a loose body, seeking affection. She started roaming the yard with a female Doberman and male shepherd. The female Doberman enticed her for play. The two engaged in some gentle/dainty play, play-bowing and tapping their paws. Eventually she chased around the yard with the Doberman. She also engaged in play with a male pit bull, chasing around the yard. She will need some confidence building and further socialization.
