A wonderful person found him, barely clinging to life, while we searched for owners we started medical care. We all held our breath the 1st few days, hoping he would survive and that his owner would come for him, he had the spirit to fight to survive but no owner came forward. We will not lie, Johan is a cranky old man, who will try and bite but he is slow and really isn't trying to hurt you, his eyesight is almost gone and he is hard of hearing, he has doggie dementia, so he likes to circle in his area, his blood work was okay, but not good enough to go under anesthesia for a dental. Right now you are probably asking why did you save him? We saved him because he had the spirit to live, he just needed some medical help and just because he is 925 million years old, doesn't mean he doesn't deserve our full attention, love and a safe place to lay his head. We don't know how long Johan will be on this earth, we sure would love for him to have a home, a shelter even in our office with all the comfy beds, is not place for a senior dog. We are hoping someone is more than willing to open their hearts for him and give him his forever home. If you foster, you must be within 30-45 minutes of McMinnville, if you want to adopt and give him his forever home, we have waived his adoption fee.
