About Izzy

This is the story of how Izzy came to be from the daughter of her owner. 'My mom, Paulette, brought Bella (Izzy's Sister) home in late June of 2017 from work. Apparently a woman was hanging around the bank where she worked trying to sell the puppies for cash. My mom bought the last two because she felt bad for the puppies and wanted to give them a good home. At the time Izzy went home with a coworker. This is a good example of the kind of person my mom was, she couldn't let a stray get away from her. At one point we had five dogs and a cat growing up - all of them were just found around town by her. Well Izzy was too much of a puppy for the coworker to take care of so my mom ended up with both. Bella favored my mom and Izzy favored my mom's partner of 14 years, John. John passed in 2020, after that my mom put all her love and affection on those two'. The owner passed away and they needed a furever home. She is 7 years old. She was 53 pounds when rescued. She is now 25 pounds. She is spayed, micro-chipped, up to date on shots, heart-worm and Lyme tested. She is in foster care in St Paul MN. But we arrange free transport to many states. This is what the foster has to say about her: Izzy are very sweet and affectionate. Izzy has done fine with my other dogs, did well with her house training and crate training and of course she love treats. She came to rescue overweight so she is on a regulated meal and I am watching her treat intake. Izzy loves sniffing around in my fenced backyard when the weather is nice to verify if any bunnies and or squirrels were running through the yard overnight. She has the Beagle bay. Izzy is good on the leash so I think she would like to go for walks . Izzy has gone through some hard changes before coming to rescue with her owner passing away and having to be re-homed. . Izzy has shown me that she has so much love to give and receive, that her past does not determine her future and when I see her adorable face light up with her Beagle smile it warms my heart!
