Meet Pogo ! This is one VERY special puppy. He is a 1 year old, 30 pound pit/staffy mix who had a very rough start to life. Not only was he born deaf, but also had a severe leg fracture as an older puppy. It was so bad that his leg had to be amputated. Pogo is such a resilient puppy and despite all of this, he is a happy and healthy boy. Pogo is about 4 weeks post-amputation and he is learning very well how to walk, run, and balance on 3 legs. He will be back up to speed in no time at all ! He is playing a lot with the other foster dogs which helps him strengthen and build the muscles in his one rear leg. Pogo is learning sign language to help him learn commands. He can wear a life vest when he goes in the pool to swim, the swimming helps him develop his muscles and coordination skills. Pogo LOVES other dogs, cats, and kids. He is friendly with everyone. Pogo is crate trained and house trained and will tell you when he needs to go out. Pogo is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and current on heartworm prevention. Adoption fee and contract required.
