Luna is an extremely loyal, slobbery, loving, chill and gentle, four-year-old, 100+-pound, female blue Neapolitan Mastiff looking for a loving foster home/permanent guardian. Luna is beautifully behaved with dogs and cats. She is great at the dog park and regularly wades in the kiddy pools at Horner Park's dog park. She's good with dogs of all shapes and sizes. She is wonderful in the home, or in the car - although she takes up an entire backseat of a car. Life expectancy of this breed is seven to nine years, so Luna is considered middle-aged for this breed. Luna does just fine with three walks a day, and is wonderful on leash. At night she lounges in a giant dog bed. She used to share it with her housemate, a male un-neutered American Bulldog. Although this breed is known to be used as guard dogs, Luna is as sweet as any dog I've ever met. She is loving and a love sponge for everyone she meets, dog, cat or human. Luna is housebroken, healthy, and will be spayed upon adoption. Her adoption fee of $400 helps cover her vet bills and benefits the rescued pets of Friends of Petraits Rescue. If you are interested in meeting and possibly fostering or adopting Luna, please fill in an adoption application at https://friendsofpetraits.com/dog-adoption-application/ and follow up by contacting [email protected] to make an appointment to meet her. She is currently in Chicago but needs to find a foster home as soon as possible. She has been loved all her life, but her humans broke up and neither searched for a pet-friendly apartment.
