About Maybe a (me-ah)

Siberian Husky
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Mia was rescued from a kill shelter in Los Angeles October. She's come a long way but is still very alarmed around strangers. She will obey the leash but is not well trained. At the dog park she is perfectly okay with people and every dog she meets. She's a terrific athlete, but being so small at 42 lb, she doesn't jump over the fence. She has kept figuring out how to wiggle out underneath it, however, so any kind of a backyard we'll have to have some type of preparation for that. She loves to snuggle, she gives kisses to her human friends, and her best friend right now is a tiny little Maltese female and they rump like crazy and are great friends. Her only food aggression is she'll defend it against another dog, but has no problem with people taking the bowl away and bringing it back. She's indifferent to food, so I tend to feed her with home-cooked meat and vegetables along with some beef bone broth. She tolerates that. She's in perfect health! My health has taken a severe hit and I'm too disabled now to take care of her or keep her safe. She needs a new home, a safe one with someone who likes dog kisses and loves to snuggle, and will commit to seeing her as a member of the family.
