A Prayer for Blaze & Brie - A Bond That's Never Broken This post goes out with a prayer - that just one kind-hearted soul sees this and says yes to a truly extraordinary pair of siblings who've been through more pain than any dog should ever know. Meet Blaze and Brie - two deeply bonded souls who have only ever had each other to lean on. Their journey began in a Texas shelter, abandoned like they meant nothing. They were adopted, only to be returned years later. Then adopted again and once more betrayed. Not because of anything they did - but because humans failed to see the rare and precious gems they had. Blaze suffered the worst of it. After years of neglect, his eye was so damaged it had to be removed. When we found him, he had been placed on the euthanasia list - not because he was unwanted, but because the shelter couldn't afford to save him. But A Tale of Paws refused to let him die forgotten. We stepped in and gave him a chance. Not long after, we found his loyal sister Brie - his emotional anchor and unofficial guide dog - also stamped for death. We knew we had to save her too, and keep them together. Despite everything, these two are the gentlest, most affectionate dogs you'll ever meet. They're about 4 years old, still full of love and life. Brie lovingly guides her brother, and Blaze, despite being partially blind, still plays, cuddles, and melts into his human's lap - just craving closeness like any soul who's been through too much. They're currently with a temporary Texas foster who adores them he wishes he could adopt them himself but already has too many dogs. He feels they would do best being the only dogs . He says Blaze runs around with joy, soaking up life, and Brie has the sweetest, funniest little walk. They both live for affection and would thrive in a peaceful home, ideally with a retired or older couple. They're easy. They're calm. They're magic. Now here's where we need a miracle. In September, their foster can no longer keep them. And without a foster or adopter in PA or nearby states, we have nowhere to send them but back into the shelter system - and this time, they may not get another second chance. We're begging for someone to open their heart and home - even temporarily. You can foster. You can foster-to-adopt. Or you can adopt and give them the forever they've been waiting for. If you can help, please text Kat at 516-457-3678 for more photos and videos of these incredible dogs. You can also reach out to Duchess at 610-564-3200 for more info. If you're unable to foster or adopt but still want to help, we are raising funds for transport and temporary boarding to keep them safe - every dollar gets them closer to safety. Please text or call and we can give you that information . Will transport to neighboring states , if you are not sure we will transport to your state text us . Please share. Please care. And please - if your heart is pulling you right now - answer the call. These two have survived together now let's help them live together. Run to the rescue, where love and peace will follow.
