About Benzo

Free adoptions through Oct. 15! Transport help may be available. Meet Benzo! He has big smiles for everyone! Benzo is about 10 months old. He weighs 47 pounds and his heartworm test is pending. He was brought in as a cruelty confiscate. He was skin and bones at his arrival. He has since gained some weight and is looking and feeling much better. That oatmeal bath really soothed my irritated skin ��%BD��lots of pets and love ------ Meet a very special boy who's ready to leave his rough start behind and find a forever home filled with love. At just 10 months old, I came to the shelter a bit worse for wear - very skinny with my ribs showing, some ouchy skin issues, and unfortunately, testing positive for heartworms. But don't let that paint the whole picture of who I am! Despite everything, I have the sweetest, most gentle soul. You might expect a puppy my age to be bouncing off the walls, but I'm actually quite the laid-back dude. I love to just chill and observe what's going on around me. I soak it all in with these big, hopeful eyes, just waiting for someone to offer a kind word or a gentle scratch behind the ears. I'm a real cuddler at heart and crave affection. All I want is to be loved and feel safe. My energy levels are more mellow than your typical pup, which might make me a great fit for a quieter home or someone who prefers a more relaxed companion. Car rides aren't my favorite thing right now, and I can get a little nervous. But I'm a smart boy and eager to please, so with patience and positive experiences, I think I could learn to enjoy them more. What I need most now is a dedicated adopter who will ensure I get the ongoing care I need to heal and thrive. Someone who will make sure I receive the necessary treatment for my heartworms and any lingering skin issues, so I can finally experience the joy of a healthy and happy life.
