We found Keith abandoned on the streets of Phoenix. He was sick and very underweight. Despite everything he has been through, Keith is, by far, the most social and loving cat we have. He likes meeting new people, including the vet. One of the most exciting things about Keith is that he knowns how to play fetch. He is particular about which toy he uses though, it has to be a spring toy. He also adores snuggling with you and giving you kisses. Keith is extremely social and will come up to you wanting lots of attention. When birds are outside the window, he gets excited and will start to chatter at them. Keith does have FIV. Simply put, it means that he has a weakened immune system. FIV does not kill cats. They can live just as long as healthy cats. It can't be passed to humans or other species. FIV and non FIV cats can live together because it is only spread through deep bite wounds. Not when cats groom each other, share food/water bowls or share litter boxes. Keith's ideal forever family would be able to give him lots of love and attention. He would do best in a home without dogs. It can take Keith a really long time to get used to new cats. Because of that, he would be happiest as an only cat or adopted with one of our other cats that he already knows. RJ is one of the other cats he gets along with best. He is on a wet food only diet. Keith is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, vaccinated, snap tested and his blood work is normal.
