URGENT - SWEET ROCCO NEEDS A HERO Please don't scroll past this face. This is ROCCO. And he's running out of time. Rocco is a 5-year-old hound mix with the heart of a warrior and the soul of a dog who's never truly known what homefeels like. He came into our rescue months ago under unexpected circumstances - and while he was never meant to stay, we made a promise the moment the other rescue walked away: we would never give up on him . Since March, Rocco has lived in a boarding facility. Day after day, he waits behind kennel doors while life passes him by. No cozy couch. No family. No daily walks in the sunshine. Just cold concrete and the distant hope that someone, somewhere, might finally see him. When he first arrived, he was medicated for anxiety. But it wasn't pills he needed. What he needed was patience, routine, and a little bit of love. And with just those simple things, he began to heal. He no longer needs medication. What he needs now - desperately - is someone to believe in him. Rocco is a dog with a story - one written in silent suffering, and now, in quiet resilience. He can be cautious with new people, but once he feels safe, he is loyal and loving. He needs a calm, pet-free home with an experienced dog handler who understands that not all dogs come ready-made. He never had toys. He never had someone to show him the world. But he wants to learn. He wants to trust. We are begging for help. We've done everything we can to keep him from entering the shelter system, but our time and resources are running out. And we know what happens to dogs like Rocco when they end up in the system. He won't make it. If you have room in your heart, your home, or your network - please don't turn away. Foster. Adopt. Be the miracle Rocco's been waiting for. There are NO more funds for boarding and the rescue will be forced to let them go to the shelter where he will be euthanized, shelters have no more space .
