Meet Maggie, an adorable and affectionate dog who weighs 60 pounds and is around 3 years old. She has already been spayed and is up to date on all her vaccinations. Maggie has tested negative for heartworm, which is great news, but she is currently undergoing treatment for Lyme disease. This sweet girl has a heart full of love and adores people. She believes that everyone she meets should pause their day to give her some affection, and in return, she'll wrap her paws around you for a warm hug. Trust us, her love is contagious! Maggie's journey to us has not been an easy one, as she came from a challenging environment where she didn't receive the care she deserved. Because of this, she will need extra patience and gentle understanding as she adapts to her new surroundings. Once she feels safe and secure, you'll discover just how happy and smart she truly is. While Maggie has so much potential to be a wonderful companion, she does require that she be the only dog in her new home. We also cannot guarantee how she would behave around other animals or small children, so her ideal family would be one that can cater to her specific needs and shower her with love. If you're looking for a loyal friend who thrives on connection, Maggie might just be the perfect match for you! *Interested in adopting? * To take the first step towards bringing this lovely dog into your home, please complete our online application at https://www.guernseycountydogshelter.com/ or click the round purple button to access it.
