About Hans

German Shepherd
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Meet Hans. Hans was rescued from a rural Florida shelter and has made such progress with his foster. He is loving, kind, happy, and just wants to be loved. Hans loves his toys and would benefit greatly having another canine sibling to continue to build his confidence. Could that be you ?? Hans is a young male between a year and a year and half. He is current on vet care and will be *neutered* prior to adoption. Even though Hans does not have any traditional issues or symptoms of EPI, we suspected he might have it due to his very slow weight gain despite the multiple high calorie meals each day. He was tested using an Enzyme Diane stool test and it presented positive. EPI is a lifelong condition that can be managed successfully by adding enzymes to every meal. EPI dogs do better on a low fiber diet and B12 supplements- both of which we've had him on since day 1. As you can see, Hans is a very happy, full of life dog! He will just need a little something extra added to his meals to ensure he's absorbing all his nutrients. Hans would do best in a home with another playful young dog, room to run and a person home most of the day. This boy LOVES everyone and has yet to meet a stranger! Hans' foster fam wants to ensure he is setup for success and smooth transition to his forever home. They will be donating food, B12 supplements and enzymes to his forever fam to get them started. Central Fl We do require an approved application and homecheck to meet any dogs in rescue.
