About Groot

Meet Groot. Groot loves to play with other dogs and is friendly to cats. He goes crazy for squeaky toys and will play all day with them if you let him. He will also toss them in the air, grumble at them, and play growl with them. Groot loves to be affectionate and really wants someone who would love to snuggle with him and pet him. He is a little shy when first meeting strangers but warms up very quickly, especially if they have a treat. This boy loves to eat and get treats. Groot is a special little guy. He was born without his metacarpal pads on his front feet. This means he doesn't have shock absorbers when he runs and jumps. He still loves to play and jump but he should be doing it on grass, not hard concrete surfaces. This will help prevent him getting arthritis when he gets older. Groot would enjoy a family that will take him on car rides and have a nice grassy back yard for him. He would enjoy short leash walks and a dog friend to play with. A single level home is ideal for him so he isn't jumping up and down stairs. If you allow your dog on the sofa he will join you. Groot is 1 yr 3 months old and weighs 22lbs. He is fully grown. He is potty trained. He does pull a little on his leash walks. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He is also crate trained, although he prefers to sleep on a dog bed.
