On July 4th weekend our daughter found this dog outside a gas station on highway 99 in Central California. Dirty, dehydrated and apparently abandoned. After asking around and looking for anyone that knew of him, her and her friends took him in with the idea that her friend would take him. Long story, but that is not what happened. We took him to the vet and treated him for bad ear infections, a parasite in his bowels and fleas. He is a lot healthier now and he is a good boy. We can't keep him but are committed to finding him a home or a pathway to a home. Do you know of any organization that may be able to help place him? According to the vet, he is about 2-3 years old, very docile, sweet with people. Inquisitive with our cats and seems to be friendly with any living thing. He went pee in the house twice but not on our watch - I don't think my daughter let him out in time. Not trained but working on sitting and lying down/off. We leave 8/10 to take our daughter to college and will need to find a solution by that time. 'ۢ We call him Ford (because he was picked up in a Ford) 'ۢ No chip 'ۢ Not neutered 'ۢ Submissive 'ۢ About 75 pounds 'ۢ Has not tore up anything 'ۢ Has never growled or bitten 'ۢ Our gardener entered the yard and worked with no issues 'ۢ Barks at passersby but nothing more Thanks for any solution you may suggest. We don't want him to go through more issues. Dave Simpson 8236 E Peacock Lane Orange, CA (714) 975-0547 [email protected]
