About Oli

As much as it breaks my heart to do this my family and I have decided to rehome our almost 5 year old male neutered blue heeler, Oli. Oli is up to date on his rabies vaccination and microchipped. I am willing to get any additional vaccinations requested for him before rehoming. Unfortunately, after years of attempting for my other male dog and Oli to get along, we have realized that we are unable to keep both of them. Both Oli and my other male dog are too protective over me and Oli will attack my other male dog if he gets too close or if I give him too much attention. Oli does not get the attention that he needs and deserves because I need to keep the dogs separated. Oli does great with my female dog, however, I'd prefer for him to be in an only dog home, unless you have a female dog that could potentially meet Oli before rehoming to make sure it is a compatible fit for all parties. He is also great with my daughters small female dog. Oli is crate trained (unfortunately he currently spends a lot of time in there due to the aggression issues towards my male dog) and he is housebroken. He knows basic commands and is a total lovebug. He does jump a lot when he gets excited but once he calms down he will lay on the couch next to his people and chew on his toys. Oli has done great with both of my children, however, they are older so I am not 100% sure how he would do with younger children. He loves to take walks but is always on a leash or in our fenced in yard. I am willing to drive Oli pretty much anywhere on the East Coast and as far west as Kentucky to ensure that he goes to the perfect home. I love him dearly but can't see him cooped up in a crate his whole life.
