Fergie is a sweet 5yo girl. She is spunky and loves all people. She has lived with a big brother golden retriever her whole life and loves him dearly. She likes to feel like she's in charge so she does sometimes have some conflict with other dogs outside the home. She loves walks and hikes and even going on runs if you can believe that. The reason Fergie is looking for a new home is because our life circumstances have changed. Single mom, living in an apartment with two children and two dogs%BD'%BD| she doesn't get the extra love that she needs hygiene wise for example.. she is SO healthy considering her breed but she does need daily preventative maintenance care cleaning her nose folds and tail pocket as well as her eyes etc. This usually just entails using a medicated wipe and/or wet washcloth. She is not on a special diet but upon quite a bit of trial and error, we've found a food that is available at regular pet stores, is one of the more affordable options especially feeding multiple dogs, and seemed to have helped with the tear stain issue we had but no longer have at all. She loves children but doesn't know her own strength. Her kisses can feel toothy with her underbite. She also likes to snuggle.. preferably with her hutt toward your face. Her favorite snack is apples. She likes water, doesn't jump in but will wade in. She's not the bulldog that you see out in town just lazing around without a care in the world. In social settings with other dogs specifically, she can get excitable and makes her crazy bulldog sounds. If you know, you know. It's a little bit funny but also can cause quite a scene. For this reason, we don't go to events or bring her out with us. She is SO smart. I'd like to think with training and her having established a relationship with an owner that she respects and knows how to help/manage her behaviors, she could be a patio dog but this is where I feel limited in my ability to care for her. She is totally up to date on vaccines. I'd love to provide all her vet information.. she's had little bulldog common ailments but nothing major. It kills me to be typing this but I am comforted by the thought that someone will love her just as much as we do, who can also care for her better. She truly is a treasure.
