Girleen was found in May, emaciated with ribs and back bones protruding. When examined by a vet, she weighed 50 lbs. and believed to be approximately 2 years of age and appeared that she had had puppies. She is now at a healthy weight and spayed. The good Samaritan who saved her is 82 years old and scheduled for total right hip surgery in late August. Even though she loves Girleen, she feels this sweet Dobie is too big for her to handle and deserves a younger, active home where she can grow, have a big yard and be treated with love and care. Girleen is affectionate and eager to please. She is housebroken, crate trained and learning basic obedience commands. When found, she was running with another dog. We do not know if she has been around children or cats. She does not like the sound of the outside water faucet. Please complete an application @ http://www.dobermanrescuenm.org. This beautiful girl needs you! A $300.00 adoption fee applies.
