About Gus

Gus is an Australian Shepherd that loves playing with balls, spending time with his family, and taking every pet or belly rub he can get. Even though he's roughly 9 years old, he still enjoys running in the yard, chasing away squirrels and rabbits, and barking at aircraft as they fly by. He was left at a vet in Kentucky by his prior owner, and our friend who worked there asked if we could take him in. We weren't sure if he'd be a permanent addition to the family, but we wanted to help him. Instead of leaving him at a shelter or humane society, we want to rehome him to a new family. He's quite anxious and doesn't like loud noises such as vacuums, fireworks, and helicopters flying nearby. Because of his anxiety, he has snapped at other pets and bared his teeth at them. He seems to do best with submissive dogs that won't invade his space unless he allows it.
