About Annie

Annie Bernese Mountain Dog 7 years old Female 58 lbs Walks on a leash Fence required Adopt Annie. Annie is a 7 year old Bernese Mountain dog who was adopted then returned to the rescue as her owners felt she did not adjust well to their home. She is a cautious and timid Berner who came back to the rescue with a great deal of anxiety and constant digestive problems. Since her return, Annie has come along way with her social anxiety. She now takes long walks, no longer afraid of people walking by, bikes, or cars. She continues to startle to loud sounds or unexpected movements. Annie seeks attention, loves hugs and pets, comes when called and no longer hides in her crate as long as she is in a familiar environment with familiar people. She does well with other dogs as they so provide her comfort. currently working with a vet to manage her digestive problems. Annie would do great with a low key, calm home and an adopter that will allow her the time needed to trust and feel comfortable. They will need to have patience with her as she will probably always experience some times of digestive problems and will require special food and medications.
