About Conures

Hey friends, I am looking to rehome my two conures. They are both 6 years old and are bonded so will need to be rehomed together. Clementine (sun conure) and Kirby (green cheek) are very loyal and require lots of attention and time out of the cage. Their genders are unknown. If interested, two cages, a bird stand, two bird travel carriers, bird toys, and a small supply of their food will be provided. There is a reasonable adoption fee to ensure they will be well-provided for. Both Kirby and Clem are energetic, playful, and naturally curious. They love to dance and be involved in whatever you're doing. They are great companions to those willing to put the time and effort to get to know them and bond with them. Also, keep in mind that Clem can be very loud throughout the day since she is a sun conure. They were raised around a large dog so are used to being let out around them. They have not been flight trained outside and have only been outside when they are in their carriers. As a forewarning, the birds are not heavily socialized and therefore may require a lot of additional attention in the beginning to transition them to a new home. Clem can be very loud and protective of Kirby and has bit two people in the past when she thought Kirby was being harmed. Kirby can be territorial of food and their bird cages at times. Kirby has exhibited biting behaviors when being picked up by hand. Due to this, both birds are trained to use a perch when put back into their cages. They are let out together and put back into their cages together due to Clem's distress at being separated from Kirby. This is not to say that they are aggressive birds at heart, they are actually very loving and sweet but are understandably cautious around new people and environments and need extra precautions when being socialized.
