Meet Domino! He's a loving, energetic 1.5-year-old Australian Kelpie mix looking for a home where he can thrive. Originally from Yuma County in southern Colorado, Domino was adopted from Foothills Animal Shelter at around 5 months old. Since then, he's become a beloved part of our family, bonding closely with both adults and our two elementary-aged boys. Domino is incredibly smart and eager to please. He knows a variety of commands including sit, stay, place, paw, wait, 'right here,' and 'home' for his kennel. He's also house-trained and has lived as the only pet in a loving home. His favorite days include running free in a field, playing with other dogs, and being part of the action. Like many Kelpies, Domino has a strong working drive and needs more than just long walks and fetch to feel fulfilled. While he currently enjoys daily 4-6 mile walks and regular playtime, he would thrive in a home that can offer: Room to roam (multiple acres preferred) Canine companions to play with Plenty of mental stimulation and tasks or jobs Adventures and outings where he can be included Domino is loyal, loving, and full of potential for the right home. Rehoming him is an incredibly difficult decision, but we want what's best for him-a life where his needs for purpose and activity are truly met.
