About Mai

Shy but full of promise, Mai is an 8-month-old Lab mix who's waiting patiently at the shelter for someone to see the gentle soul behind her timid eyes. She was found alongside her sister Tai (who's now in a foster home), and while Tai has started to blossom, Mai is still finding her way. Shelter life can be overwhelming, and Mai is a bit scared in her kennel, but take her outside into the play yard, and you'll start to see her true self peek through. With gentle encouragement and a quiet space to warm up, she begins to show her sweet, curious personality. Mai is looking for a patient, understanding home where she can take things at her own pace. We believe that with time, love, and consistency, she has the potential to become a fun, loyal, and loving family member. She may even enjoy a confident dog buddy to help show her the ropes.
