About Riley

Update 8/22/25 Riley has been fully vetted and is now doing very well. Since being with us in rescue we have found that she is not at all willing to have a leash on as the vet tried this and it did not go well for them. It may have been her environment at the time (the vet clinic) she was very scared. It will be best if Riley is in a home with older children and she must have a fenced/secure yard to potty and play in. She is good with other dogs and will play with them, but they do need to mind their business as she is a respectful dog and will want the same from her fur sibling, which is a typical corgi. If you have never owned a corgi these are all common traits. As her caregiver, I have owned 3 and currently own 1 now. They are wonderful and extremely smart, but they can be stubborn sometimes. We of course want the best fit for her and her new family so we always try to be upfront with all of our rescues. If you have young children or your yard is not fence please do not apply to adopt her......Thank you! UPDATE 8/3/25 RILEY will be heading to our vet for her spay hopefully this Friday. She was to be spayed today the 3rd however we had to cancel and reschedule. She will not be available to go home until the weekend of the 16th unless our vet has an opening sooner. If you are interested in her adoption please submit your application as we will be choosing a home for her once she has been spayed Riley came in to rescue today 7/28/25. She is a very sweet and gentle little girl. She is a bit timid right now as she is just getting use to her surroundings. Riley was used as a breeder and has taken her freedom walk. She will never be used to produce babies for profit again. She will be placed in a home where she will be loved and be part of a family. Riley has never been on a leash or went for walks so she will need a home with a fenced yard to keep her safe while outside to go potty. Riley does use her doggy door faithfully to go outside the adoption center to go potty. A fur sibling would be great for her to show her the ropes in her new home. Riley has a birth date of 7/30/21. She will be fully vetted prior to adoption (spayed, vaccinations, deworming, heartworm test and started on prevention as well has flea and tic prevention.
