URGENT!!! MARION, OH. (willing to drive up to anywhere in Ohio ). 4 Y/O MALE Shepherd/Blue Tick Coon/Rottweiler Mix (mom was full blood GSD and dad was Coon/Rott mix (DOB: 7/31/21). His name is ' THEO'. Background: Current Shepherd Parent has had Theo since about 6 weeks old when Theo showed up on her porch from an abusive home down the road. UTD on shots EXCEPT needs Rabies Vacc WITH/WITHOUT record. Fixed. Good with kids. Good with dogs, but has allegedly shown Food Aggression to other dogs while eating. The Current Shepard Parent was told this by someone else, but she has not seen it herself, but please take note. Good with cats. House trained. Crate trained, but does not need, has good behavior when left home alone. Any known medical issues?: Environmental Allergies and currently takes Prednisone 5 mg, two times a day, plus an allergy tablet. I would like to see the Adopter take Theo to their vet to see if they could possibly get him off of Prednisone and maybe on a different Allergy Treatment (please do your research. I always use Prednisone as a LAST resort to give to Shepherds and should not be a long term treatment). HIGH ENERGY?: NO. HIGH PREY DRIVE?:YES . Currently on 'Purina Pro Balanced Diet' food. Weighs 72 lbs. Good with car rides?:YES. Socialized with other dogs and/or people?: YES. Good with meeting new people? (ALWAYS USE PROPER INTRODUCTION!):YES . Loves: water (will dive in water to fetch ball/toy) - playing fetch - squeaky toys - bones - learning commands - eye contact - cuddling - chilling on the couch - playing with kids - playing with dogs - being near his person - wrestling - butt scratches - ear scratches - having his paws held and embraced. *Intelligent and knows Basic Commands?:YES . *Good Recall? (ALWAYS RETRAIN BEFORE ALLOWING OFF LEASH): OK, NEEDS WORK. *Good on a Leash?:OK, NEEDS WORK . *Lovable?: VERY. *Eager and fast learner?: YES. Theo is a great boy and will make an amazing companion for the right person. Once you are his person, he is extremely loyal to you and is by your side at all times. He would be an amazing ESA. He is affectionate, gentle, playful, excited and eager. Re Homing because�'�|: The Current Shepherd Parent has had some financial situations and is struggling and can no longer keep Theo.
