With heavy hearts, we're seeking a loving new home for our beautiful 8+year-old Malamute-Shepherd mix, Quyana (pronounced 'koo-ya-na'). This decision comes from our deep love for her and recognition that she needs an environment where she can truly thrive. Spayed female, up to date on vaccinations Gorgeous wolf-like appearance (no actual wolf content to our knowledge) 6 years with our family, originally a rescue Exceptional with other dogs - true pack animal House trained and well-socialized Loves outdoor adventures: hiking, off-leash dog parks, river time Content companion who just wants to be with her people Has been a wonderful mama to puppies in the past What she needs: Cannot be left at home - needs human or canine companionship Does great on road trips/driving cars - and can wait in a parked car for 1-2 hrs while you run errands have appointments Active family/person who enjoys outdoor activities Someone who works from home or can take her with them to work (She'll lie quietly at your feet all day) Patient, understanding humans who appreciate her gentle nature Why we're rehoming: Our toddler's lack of impulse control and big wild energy directed at her in harmful ways mean she isn't able to rest. Despite her incredible patience over the years, she's recently showing signs that she's experiencing increasing stress. She deserves a peaceful environment where she can be the amazing companion she is. Ideal home: families with older children, multi-dog households, people who work from home, outdoor enthusiasts who want a loyal adventure buddy.
