Rehoming My German Shepherd - Loving, Loyal, and Protective I'm looking to rehome my smart and loving German Shepherd. This is a very difficult decision, but with the arrival of my new granddaughter, I can no longer manage both her safety and my dog's needs. He's not good around young children, and I want to make sure both he and my granddaughter are in the safest environment possible. He is a loyal, affectionate dog who loves cuddles and is great at guarding and protecting his home. He would thrive in a calm, adult-only home with someone experienced with the breed who understands his protective nature and can give him the attention and structure he deserves.
