About DAISY

Meet Daisy, A5707936, 2 yrs, female Cattle Dog. She is absolutely gorgeous & so sweet!! Shelter notes: 'The behaviors described today reflect the dog's responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behavior may change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.' She walked to the play yard with a light pull on the leash. She was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen. She entered the play yard with soft body language. She was approached by a female Collie mix. She was tolerant to of her sniffing her, but she had concerned eyes. She was then approached by a male husky and displayed the same behavior. She began to roam the yard and explore. She began to approach some of the calm dogs from behind and timidly sniff them. She appeared wary of higher energy dogs and dogs lingering in her face. She would have concerned eyes and licking her lips. After some time, she began to relax more. She roamed the yard much more relaxed and appeared much looser around the other dogs. She also approached a small dog and exchanged a soft greeting with him. She would approach the handlers often and seek affection. Daisy is social with the other dogs, but she displayed no play style at this time and would do best with a calm dog to allow him to gain more confidence.
