MANY OF OUR DOGS HAVE STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR ADOPTION. 4-year-old female long haired Chihuahua/Papillion mix, about 7 pounds! Maxine is a very friendly outgoing girl, says Hi to all and does fine with dogs her size, but will react to big dogs. She would probably do fine with kids and might chase a cat. She is not high energy but is willing to go for walks or cuddle on the couch, if you prefer! She knows when the snack bag crinkles! She is very quiet until she has to go out. Then she will let you know. She came to us with no tail. She does have a scar on her tail nub and a limp on the left hind leg, so that likely tells a story of a terrible time in her life. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. Puppies are adopted with a refundable spay/neuter deposit (in addition to the adoption fee) and adopters are required to get their puppy to our vet for their pre-scheduled spay-neuter appointments. You must live within a three-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), so we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
