About Zeni

Adoption Fee: $700
Portuguese Water Dog
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Zeni-Portuguese Water Dog, female puppy DOB 10-20-24 Contact [email protected] Zeni came to Rescue when her 'Breeder', tossed her out. She has an under bite that made her 'not perfect' in the Breeders eyes and she was not interested in helping her find a home. Zeni has been in a Prison Training program and learning basics. She knows some commands now, is house and crate trained. She gets along well with everyone at the Prison and is said to be an energetic and fun girl. The information to follow explains about the Portuguese Water Dog breed, and it sounds like she's very typical. The Portuguese Water Dog is an excellent family dog. They are tender with loved ones and good with children and other pets-again, as long as they receive proper training and get their fill of daily mental and physical stimulation. Like Poodles and several other water dog breeds, PWDs are intelligent, can have curly coats, have webbed toes for swimming, and do not shed. However, Portuguese Water Dogs are more robustly built, with stout legs, and can have a wavy coat instead of tightly curled. Portuguese Water Dogs a highly intelligent and excel at learning new commands and tricks. They were originally bred to work alongside fishermen, which required them to be quick learners and problem-solvers. This inherent intelligence, combined with their eagerness to please, makes them very trainable. However, their intelligence can also lead to boredom if not mentally stimulated, so they need consistent training and engaging activities. The adult female Portuguese Water Dog will weigh between 35-50#. Zeni's Adoption fee is $700 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption.
