Meet Candy, a 1.5 year old female Australian shepherd. Hard to believe people dump dogs, especially dogs like Candy, who appear to be pure bred. Candy was found covered in foxtails and pretty disheveled looking. Her finder, took her under her wing, got her cleaned up, checked for a microchip, and looked for her person for about a month. Nobody. Nothing. Safe to say she was abandoned and is now looking for a breed savvy home through CCHDR. Here is what her foster has to report: Candy is a super sweet and intelligent dog. True to the breed, she is high energy and high intensity. She is people friendly and very dog social. She knows some basic commands and would do best in a breed savvy home that will challenge her mentally and physically. She's a fast learner and an overall gem of a dog. A total keeper for an active person or family. Candy will be microchipped, UTD on vaccines and spayed. Located in Bakersfield, CA.
