This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only. Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. Benji is a Berger Picard mix who was surrendered to a municipal shelter because he has had issues with aggression and territorial behavior. He has lived with the same family since he was a puppy, was never neutered, and was trained using aversive methods (e-collar & prong collar). He's had all basic vetting otherwise. His vet records show he has been muzzled at the vet due to having bit his owners, but vets have not had any issue handling him. At the shelter he has been fine to handle, even when removing the prong and e-collar he was surrendered wearing. Benji is rescue-only due to his bite history. Shelter staff are happy to share whatever information he was surrendered with (a whole binder) and their experiences with his handling for any interested rescue groups.
