About Red

Red is an almost 3 year old Chocolate Lab. He currently weighs 84 pounds and is on a diet and doing well. Red came to us with his brother Blue after their owner unexpectedly passed away. While they were raised together, Red and Blue have distinct personalities and are not a bonded pair. Red is ready to find a home of his own. Red is an active guy who lives for playtime. His favorite things in the world? Chasing balls and going for long walks where he can explore and stretch those strong Lab legs. He'll thrive with a family who enjoys getting outside and including their pup in the fun. Red has had a lot of changes in his life recently losing his home and his person. We have started him on some fluoxetine which should help him settle. This prescription is $9 a month at Walmart. While Red is full of energy, he's also a sweet and loving companion who enjoys being around people. He'd love a physically fenced yard where he can safely run and play to his heart's content. Red does well with other dogs but would also do well as an only dog. If you're looking for an adventure buddy who's always ready for action Red is your guy! Red is house trained, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and heartworm tested. Red is positive for Lyme disease and is asymptomatic, he doesn't need any treatment at this time.
