Announcing our VERY first Red Bengal!!! (Yes - it's a THING!) Meet Beni - a stunning and rare Red Bengal who is 2 years and 10 month's old, and sadly must be the 'one and only.' Beni's story is a tough one. He was abandoned by his original owners when he was only a year old. When the neighbors realized he'd been abandoned, they were absolutely heartbroken over it. They took over feeding him on their porch and not long after, Beni claimed them as his family. Beni's family couldn't HELP but to fall in love with his loving and winsome nature. What they didn't count on though - is that Beni didn't want to share. They had two other cats in the home and it wasn't long before Beni became extremely aggressive with both of them. After a year of trying to blend their feline family, Beni's family realizes that he would truly be happy with a fur-free kingdom of his own. They dearly wish that Beni could tolerate his 'roommates' however they realize that it's just not in the cards. They truly want Beni to have a long and happy life ahead. Beni is a typical Bengal. He is active, curious, loves to chase balls, strings, bugs. He's a tree-dweller in that he always seeks out the highest place to survey his home. He loves to bird-watch - both inside (the family has a bird) and outside (through the windows). Beni often loves to climb on the 5' tall bird cage (we wonder what the bird thinks about that?). Beni is a 'people person.' He is so affectionate with his humans! He is rare, in that he actually loves cuddles and kisses! His fur is so soft - like a bunny. He has a glorious coat that he keeps in tip-top shape. His family absolutely loves he huge soulful eyes, saying how much his expressions remind him of Puss n' Boots from Shrek (we see it too!). Beni's family says he is a purr-machine. His motor goes from zero to sixty in seconds! He loves belly rubs and will patiently wait for his humans to stop what they are doing to indulge him in a love session. Beni has perfect litter box skills. He's never once had an 'accident' in the home. He is neutered, vaccinated, and has been properly vetted. Like most bengals, he does have a sensitive tummy, so his diet will need to be consistent (initially it was addressed with an RX diet but now he's on a standard diet). Beni has SO MUCH LOVE to give, and would do best in a home with no other cats, and no children under the age of 12.
