About VAIL

Vail is a joyful, resilient puppy who lives for playtime-especially rough�'��and�'��tumble fun with her sister Vienna-and never met a toy she didn't love. She brings out smiles everywhere she goes. Because of her **Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH)**, Vail's movement is unsteady. She does fall down, and there are times she'll need a gentle assist to get back on her feet. Once upright, she's right back to playing! She does much better on supportive surfaces like grass, outdoor cement/patio, or rugs and mats; slick floors make things tougher. Limited vision doesn't hold her back much-she usually manages to find what she's after with determination and a happy heart. Vail adores people. She greets you with enthusiasm, gives a quick wiggle when picked up, then settles in for cuddles. She's the kind of pup who reminds you to celebrate the small victories. Both Vail and Vienna, were evaluated by a neurologist at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists. In addition to CH, they each have **seizure activity that is separate from CH (a different part of the brain)** and are doing well on medication to help manage it. CH itself is **not considered a degenerative condition**, so while Vail will likely always have coordination challenges, it isn't expected to progressively worsen. Vail will thrive in a calm, loving home with safe, non�'��slippery spaces-rugs, mats, grassy play areas, or a textured patio-where she can wobble, topple, and get a gentle boost when she needs it. Please be ready to continue her seizure medication and routine vet care, and most of all to celebrate her brave spirit every day (bonus if she can have a friendly dog buddy-maybe her sister Vienna!).
